Philosophy of Care

I utilize a cultural and biopsychosocial approach to my neuropsychological evaluations. Above all, I strive to provide compassionate and person-centered care to my patients.

Clinical Interests

Dr. Weakley is a neuropsychologist offering comprehensive cognitive evaluations to geriatric and adult patients with a wide range of neurological conditions. She has clinical and research expertise in neurodegenerative disorders including mild cognitive impairment and Alzheimer's disease. She is also part of the Comprehensive Epilepsy Program and provides pre- and post-surgical evaluations, Wada procedures, and extra-operative and intra-operative brain mapping for surgical treatment planning.

Research/Academic Interests

Dr. Weakley's research broadly focuses on aging, cognitive rehabilitation, and gerontechnology, a multidisciplinary academic field combining gerontology and technology. Dr. Weakley's research involves 1. developing and evaluating technology that enhances everyday independence in older adults with cognitive impairment and reduces caregiver burden, 2. improving assessment methods to better detect, reflect, and predict real-world functioning, and 3. enhancing sensitivity of cognitive assessments for the early and accurate detection of cognitive impairment.
