She is a surgical pathologist with sub-specialty expertise in gastrointestinal and liver pathology. An award winning teacher, she is involved in teaching medical students along with pathology residents and fellows.

He has participated in teaching the first year medical physiology course and has served as an instructor of record of this course for many years. He has been a strong proponent of small group teaching using case studies and team-based learning.

He earned his Ph.D. in Endocrinology from UC Davis and a certificate in Physician Assistant studies from Augsburg College. His clinical experience is in urology and urologic oncology, and he has extensive experience as an educator at the undergraduate, graduate and professional student levels.
