She served for 12 years as an elected Marin County Supervisor and brings her skills in leadership, health policy and the creation of successful interdisciplinary collaborations to UC Davis. Her clinical expertise and interest is in women’s health, perinatal addiction and reproductive choice. She has been tasked to build and strengthen Interprofessional Education (IP) and collaboration opportunities.

He is researching the mechanisms whereby bone cells respond to biophysical signals present during skeletal development, repair, and daily activity. Current research focuses include the interaction of mechanical and chemical signals upon skeletal homeostasis and diseases involving the skeletal system, including ectopic calcification within the vasculature, or mechanisms of prostate cancer osteosclerosis.

She is a hospitalist who works with teams of medical students and residents. She has participated in the Pediatric Resident Program and Evaluation Committee as well as the Clinical Competence Committee.

She joined faculty in 2014 to pursue her passion for teaching medical students and residents in the clinical setting. She completed medical school and residency training at Texas A&M University, and practiced general obstetrics and gynecology outside of Austin, Texas prior to joining UC Davis.

She completed her medical school education at Universidad de Antioquia in Medellin, Colombia, and internship/residence at UC Davis. Her main interests are obstetric anesthesia and residents education, in obstetric anesthesia. She has been a faculty member since 2011.

She earned a Ph.D. in cognitive psychology at the University of Michigan, attended veterinary school at Michigan State University and completed a veterinary ophthalmology residency at the University of Florida. She has a special interest in equine corneal disease.

She joined the UC Davis School of Medicine in 2013. Her teaching responsibilities include medical student, resident and fellow lectures. In the operating room she teaches medical students, anesthesia residents, pediatric residents, transport nurses and fellows.

He graduated from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2007, where he focused on large animal medicine. He later completed a residency in Livestock Herd Health and Reproduction, as well a Masters in Preventative Veterinary Medicine.

She is a Professor of Toxicology and Department Chair. She completed a veterinary toxicology residency at UC Davis, was board-certified in veterinary toxicology in 1999, and has served on the UC Davis faculty since 2000. She is passionate about pharmacology and toxicology education and the integration of different teaching modalities into veterinary, graduate and undergraduate instruction.

He received a doctorate in osteopathic medicine and masters of arts in bioethics from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He completed emergency medicine residency at Einstein Healthcare Network in Philadelphia and a fellowship in emergency ultrasound at UC Davis.

He was born and raised in the State of Hawaii. He attended John A. Burns School of Medicine on the Island of Oahu and completed his post-graduate training at Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara as an Internal Medicine Specialist.
