Blue Ridge Institute for Medical Research is a nonprofit organization that uses the NIH's Research Portfolio Online Reporting Tool for its annual reports and rankings. The Research Operations unit compiles a yearly analysis of its reporting to disseminate all School of Medicine department NIH funding rankings from the last ten years.
The Research Operations unit disseminates UC Davis Office of Research grant data analysis of the quarterly data of all School of Medicine grants and health science contracts. The annual report includes extramural funding by administrative and home departments for federal vs. non-federal funding and types of NIH funding by institution.

Publication data analysis utilizing SciVal and Web of Science Insights as another metric of overall assessment of the School of Medicine, in addition to grant analytics. This report summarizes the productivity, contribution, quality, and dissemination of research in the School of Medicine. It shows the number of UC Davis School of Medicine faculty publications over the most recent five-year period, the number and average of citations these publications received, and their appearance in high-impact journals. The report also disseminates collaborative publications.
