The Cancer Research Immersion Academy encourages high school students to pursue a future in the oncology field. It helps create career pathways and prepares students for college.
Students engage with scientists conducting groundbreaking cancer research and interact with health professionals dedicated to improving cancer care outcomes. Students complete mentored group research projects to enhance confidence, knowledge and skills to design, execute and present real scientific research.

High school students interested in learning more about cancer research and cancer-related career tracks are invited to become one of our High School Affiliate Scholars. Affiliate Scholars receive regular communications about career paths in cancer, spotlighting cancer professionals and how their work impacts discovery, treatment, and prevention of cancer. They are informed about experiential learning opportunities and can participate in online and in-person Cancer Center programming.
