Patient Care, Education and Research

Patient Care
The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at UC Davis consists of an exemplary team of physicians, specialized nurses and technicians. We provide our patients in Northern California innovative tertiary care for the management of complex gastrointestinal and liver diseases. Our gastroenterology group offers a broad range of endoscopic procedures using state-of-the-art technology.

Education Program
The gastroenterology fellowship program consists of three or more years of training that is tailored to the fellow's career goals. Both clinical and investigative aspects of gastroenterology and hepatology are included in the curriculum.

Research
Areas of research include basic and translational investigations, including liver fibrosis, liver regeneration, hepatitis C, advanced endoscopy, fatty liver disease, primary sclerosing cholangitis, primary biliary cirrhosis, Barrett's esophagus and gastrointestinal motility disorder.
