Application Process and Progression

  1. Applicants must apply to UC Davis School of Medicine through the AMCAS by October 1.
  2. Applicants invited to complete the UC Davis School of Medicine Secondary Application indicate their interest in the Accelerated Competency-based Education in Primary Care (ACE-PC) or the Rural Accelerated Competency-based Education in Primary Care and Psychiatry (Rural ACE-PCP).
  3. Following the traditional holistic review and multiple mini-interview process, applicants who indicated interest in the accelerated pathways will be reviewed by Program Directors to assess fit, commitment to primary care, and academic readiness.
  4. Qualified applicants will be invited to interview with ACE-PC or Rural ACE-PCP program team members between January and April. Applicants will be interviewed simultaneously by leadership from the three-year medical degree pathway and the partner residency programs.
