Longitudinal Experiences in the Pre-Clerkship Phase
Longitudinal Clinical Experience, Clinical Skills, Team INQUIRE and UCD 43, are embedded components of the aforementioned required courses.

Clerkship Intersession – including Transition to Clerkship (MDS 479)
Internal Medicine (IMD 430)
Family & Community Medicine (FAP 430)
Obstetrics & Gynecology (OBG 430)
Pediatrics (PED 430)
Psychiatry (PSY 430)
Surgery (SUR 430)
Selectives: 6 weeks of self-selected 2-, 4- or 6-week courses, which include these options:

  • Clinical Selectives
  • Research/Area of Scholarly Concentration
  • Advanced Clinical Clerkships
  • Clinical Didactics

Post-Clerkship Phase Requirements (Year 4)
Emergency Medicine Acting Internship
Neurology Advanced Clinical Clerkship or Acting Internship
Intensive Care Unit Acting Internship
Inpatient Acting Internship
Additional Inpatient or Outpatient Acting Internship
Electives to complete the remaining required weeks (total of 36 weeks)
Transition to Residency (MDS 449)
