Dr. Carolyn Dewa's research focuses on work disability related to mental disorders. She also studies the provision and access to mental health services and supports to people experiencing mental illnesses. Her recent studies have examined the successful continuous employment of people with severe and persistent mental illnesses as well as the work retention of workers with depression and stigma experienced by workers with mental disorders and barriers to work accommodations.
