I feel honored to take part in my patients' cancer treatment and aim to provide them with the best treatment for their individual case. I strongly believe in a team-based approach, with the patient being an integral part of that team. Whether the patient needs a simple procedure or a more complex cancer surgery and reconstruction, we will work together towards achieving the best possible outcome.
Clinical Interests
Dr. Abouyared is a fellowship-trained otolaryngologist who specializes in treating patients with both benign and malignant tumors of the head and neck. She believes in helping her patients achieve the best possible outcome by tailoring her care to each individual patient's needs. She treats patients with advanced skin cancers, thyroid/endocrine tumors, salivary gland tumors, and mucosal cancers of the head and neck. She has specific interests in microvascular reconstructive surgery and robotic surgery.
Research/Academic Interests
Dr. Abouyared's research focus has primarily been on evaluating which factors influence head and neck cancer patients’ outcomes, and has a particular interest in wound healing and malnutrition.
