The UC Davis Medical Group represents all organized medical group practices of UC Davis Health's primary and specialty care faculty physicians. The Medical Group has shared responsibility for the clinical operations of the health system's professional practice activities.

Financial stewardship of your department’s clinical practice is a complex and critical. Mentorship in this area is key to understanding the flow of data, both projected and actual.

Where to Start:

  • Review the UC Davis Medical Group leadership contact list
  • Reach out to the Medical Group Director of Operations to obtain a welcome packet and to schedule an orientation meeting. The Director of Operations will assist with arranging an introduction to the Medical Group
  • Meet with the Chief Operating Officer for Ambulatory Care
  • Meet with your mentor to discuss clinical full-time equivalent (FTE) roster for clinical effort, funds flow, and Clinical and Translational Science Center (CTSC)
  • Meet with the Chair of the Council of Managers
  • Work with your mentor to complete basic training in CTSC data analysis and Tableau for real-time data analysis and reporting
