Apra Sood, M.D., F.A.A.D.
Dr. Apra Sood, Professor of Clinical Dermatology, is a board-certified medical dermatologist who provides patient care at the Sacramento VA medical center. Her interests include complex medical dermatology with a special focus on contact dermatitis, atopic dermatitis and other eczematous dermatoses. Dr. Sood did her dermatology residency and contact dermatitis fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, and was the director of the contact dermatitis section in the Cleveland Clinic Department of Dermatology prior to moving to California. She has published in several peer reviewed journals and co-authored chapters in dermatology textbooks. She is the VA site director of the dermatology residency program and is strongly committed to resident education. She has received several awards for her contributions to resident teaching.
