A new activity room for Child Life Services funded by the Panda Cares Foundation.
This project, funded by the Panda Cares Foundation, created a new activity room for Child Life Services to engage with pediatric patients in art, science, music, reading, computer technology, video production and school activities providing programs and service that fall within the four “pillars” of the Panda Care Center of Hope: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.
The project remodeled an existing storage room and included new flooring, paint, casework, handwash fixture, curtain tack, lights, projector and a projection screen. Finishes extend out into the corridor, providing an inviting entrance and approach to the space. In addition to remodeling the storage room space, accessibility upgrades were made at existing toilet rooms and the drinking fountain area.
