Philosophy of Care

As an internist, I have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of people and a broad range of diseases. My work is interesting, and I approach it in a rather personal way. I treat my patients the same way I would treat my family. I believe in establishing a solid patient-physician relationship based on maintaining good health. Since patient education plays a key role in maintaining or recovering health, I make it a point to discuss preventive care or maintenance as part of every appointment. The patient who understands the importance of a healthy lifestyle usually lives a healthier life. My colleagues in UC Davis Medical Group also have a strong commitment to education and preventive care. As members of a university-based health system, we combine high-quality primary care with easy access to comprehensive specialty care.
