Philosophy of Care

I work with each patient to help them understand their risk for cancer based on their family history and their own medical history. This includes enabling patients to make informed decisions about genetic testing, ordering testing if appropriate, explaining the results and implications of genetic testing, and developing a personalized medical plan for each patient.

Clinical Interests

Nicole Mans is a genetic counselor specializing in hereditary conditions that increase risk for cancer.  She sees both children and adults in her practice.

Research/Academic Interests

Nicole Mans participates in clinical training and education for providers and learners at UC Davis Health as well as community members. Her education efforts center around the profession of genetic counseling and the specialty of cancer genetics.
