Philosophy of Care

Dr. Singhal believes in treating every patient with the same compassion as she would for her own friends and family. She believes that every patient deserves a clear explanation of the diagnosis and landscape of treatment options, including the latest treatment advances in clinical trials. Dr. Singhal uses a team-based approach partnering with pharmacists, nurses, consultants, and local oncologists to deliver exceptional patient care.

Clinical Interests

Dr. Singhal is a medical oncologist specializing in the treatment of thoracic malignancies (lung cancers), including non-small cell lung cancer, small cell lung cancer, mesothelioma, thymoma and thymic carcinoma. Dr. Singhal has a particular interest in caring for older adults with cancer. Her goal is to provide exceptional and personalized care, by both leveraging novel therapies and by understanding the values of her patients.

Research/Academic Interests

Dr. Singhal's research focuses on biomarker development and novel therapeutic strategies for thoracic malignancies (lung cancers), especially among older adults. She is the past participant of the National Institute on Aging Butler Williams Scholars Program, a prestigious program for investigators with promise in the field of aging research. She is also an active member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the international Cancer and Aging Research Group, and the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer.
