Dr. Kim's research focuses on combining nanotechnology, cell engineering, and advanced imaging techniques to improve treatments like immunotherapy and stem cell therapy. He explores how to enhance natural therapeutic cells, such as stem cells and immune cells, by augmenting them with nanotechnology. Using non-invasive imaging methods like ultrasound and photoacoustic imaging, he aims to track and monitor these enhanced cells in real-time. The ultimate goal of his research is to better understand how these therapies work, improve their effectiveness, and make them more reliable for use in clinical settings.
