Project Synopsis

Pediatrics Cardiology refresh of the entire suite, new furniture, medical equipment and IT. Includes kid-friendly mural, air balance, signage and a new reception desk.

Project Description

This project relocated the Pediatric Heart Center from the Glassrock Building, where they shared space with another department, to their own standalone, six-thousand-square-foot suite at our Cadillac Drive site. The project consisted of new flooring throughout, new paint throughout, updated signage, countertop repair, installation of new medical equipment and a kid-friendly mural in the waiting room. From conception to completion, the project took six months to complete, and utilized tenant improvement dollars as well as hospital reserves. This new site marked a huge milestone for the Pediatric Cardiology department, as this was their first dedicated space in their more than 12 years of operation at UC Davis Health. Through partnership with the design team, the building owner and the Pediatric Cardiology team, we were able to outfit the site to meet all the department's needs without major renovation, which helped drastically reduce the cost.
