Paperless Billing at UC Davis Health

Electronic billing statements began March 2023

To provide a more convenient, secure, and eco-friendly way to manage and pay your medical bills, UC Davis Health switched to paperless billing statements for most of our patients starting in late March 2023.

What does paperless billing statements mean?

  • If you are signed up for the MyUCDavisHealth patient web portal or app, you will receive and view your UC Davis Health statements electronically through MyUCDavisHealth.
  • If you are a MyUCDavisHealth user, you will no longer receive paper statements in the mail, unless you opt out of paperless statements.
  • If you are not signed up for MyUCDavisHealth, you will continue to receive paper billing statements from UC Davis Health in the mail.

When will this take effect?

  • Our rollout of paperless billing statements began late March 2023.

How will I know that I have a new billing statement?

  • You will be notified by email and through MyUCDavisHealth.

How can I see my billing statements?

  1. First, log into MyUCDavisHealth.

  2. Once you’re inside and on the MyUCDavisHealth home page, go to the “Outstanding Balance” banner and click the “view details” button.

  3. This will take you to the “Billing for PatientName” page. The “Communication” tab allows you to see all statements, itemized statements of charges, and letters.

What if I still want to receive paper bills and statements?

Once enrolled, you simply opt-out of paperless statements. You can do this at any time. You can do this through your MyUCDavisHealth account. Or call UC Davis Health’s Patient Billing Customer Service staff at 916-734-9200, option #2 or at 1-800-551-9411.

  • It’s more secure than paper because of the leading-edge technology that protects user data and information.
  • It’s convenient because users can access their account electronically at anytime and from anywhere.
  • It contributes to UC Davis Health becoming more eco-friendly by eliminating the need for millions of pieces of paper each year.
