Philosophy of Care
I strive to provide excellent emergency care with compassion in close partnership with my patients. I am committed to the dismantling of systems which create health inequities in my department and within the community.
Clinical Interests
Dr. Toles is an emergency medicine physician, clinical educator, and advocate for health equity. She is passionate about providing excellent care in the emergency department and utilizes point-of-care ultrasound in her practice and education. She also leads departmental initiatives which aim to create a more inclusive, diverse, and justice-oriented emergency department through the intentional building of equitable policies and practices.
Research/Academic Interests
Dr. Toles's scholarly activity and research span various subjects including innovative bedside emergency procedures, toxicological emergencies, innovations in medical education, and diversity, equity, and inclusion topics.
