Every child is unique, and deserves the utmost attention to their disease processes which can help us tailor treatment to their specific needs. Being able to sleep well and breathe well are both very essential in maintaining good health. By partnering with both the child and family, I believe we can provide the care that every child and family needs, and help achieve the health that they both desire.
Dr. Chidambaram is a pediatric pulmonologist and sleep medicine specialist offering care for children with various pulmonary and sleep conditions, such as management of non-invasive and invasive modes of ventilation, tracheostomy, management of lung diseases associated with neuromuscular disease conditions, sleep disordered breathing, insomnia, restless legs syndrome, asthma and other pulmonary disorders. She has special clinical interest in the management of obstructive sleep apnea, central sleep apnea, central disorders of ventilation (including congenital central hypoventilation syndrome and rapid onset obesity with hypothalamic dysregulation, hypoventilation, and autonomic dysregulation), and management of pulmonary and sleep disorders in children with neuromuscular disease.
Dr. Chidambaram's research interest focuses on studying improving outcomes in children with sleep disordered breathing, specifically in children with neuromuscular disease.
