I received my first pair of glasses at age 3. They were pink and Barbie-themed, and I wore them proudly. They also prevented amblyopia, which could have limited my vision for life. That experience shaped how I practice: early detection and timely treatment can change a child’s visual future.
I am passionate about finding eye disease early and acting on it promptly, when treatment is most effective. I believe every patient deserves an exam adapted to their abilities, and every family deserves clear, compassionate guidance.
Dr. Sajer is a pediatric and primary care optometrist who offers up-to-date myopia control strategies for children whose nearsightedness is progressing. Dr. Sajer is also skilled in examining children and adults with medically complex needs, including patients who are non-verbal or have multiple disabilities, adapting each exam to the patient’s abilities and needs.
Beyond clinical care, Dr. Sajer is an investigator with the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group (PEDIG), whose research helps shape standards of care in pediatric eye disease, including amblyopia management.
