Philosophy of Care

I believe that excellent patient care begins with listening and understanding each person's unique experience. My goal is to create a supportive environment where patients and families feel heard, informed, and involved in their care. I value clear communication, thoughtful evaluation, and shared decision-making, and I strive to help patients of all ages better understand their conditions and achieve the best possible function and quality of life.

Clinical Interests

Dr. Grotski's clinical interests include the evaluation and management of a broad range of adult and pediatric neuromuscular disorders, as well as electrodiagnostic medicine, including electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction studies (NCS). Her clinical interests also include spinal muscular atrophy, brachial plexus injuries, and specialized pediatric electrodiagnostic evaluations, including EMG performed under anesthesia. She is additionally interested in incorporating neuromuscular ultrasound into the diagnostic evaluation of neuromuscular disorders.

Research/Academic Interests

Dr. Grotski's academic and research interests focus on advancing the understanding and treatment of neuromuscular diseases, particularly through emerging gene therapies and other disease-modifying treatments. She is interested in clinical trials evaluating novel therapies, with an emphasis on the development and application of innovative outcome measures, including digital endpoints, to assess treatment response and functional outcomes. Her educational interests include teaching and mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows in neuromuscular and electrodiagnostic medicine.
