Survivors of intentional injury and trauma can find comprehensive support for healing and recovery.

The Trauma Recovery Center (TRC) provides trauma-responsive, mental health treatment and case management services to underserved survivors of crime, ages 0-30, who may not be eligible for victim compensation and do not have access to support services. The TRC uses a strength-based, flexible and integrative-care approach where survivors are served with dignity and humility to support healing and recovery. Our vision is to redefine trauma recovery by creating an inclusive environment that promotes holistic healing and post-traumatic growth for all individuals we serve.
UC Davis Medical Center is the only Level 1 adult and pediatric trauma center in California north of San Francisco. As such, the UC Davis TRC, serves patients who reside in surrounding and rural counties including Shasta, Modock, Stanislaus, Sutter, Calaveras, Yuba, Placer, El Dorado, Yolo, San Juaquin, Tehama, and Alameda, during their hospital stay.
Trauma is a type of severe injury requiring immediate care. Recovering from these injuries can extend beyond the medical care patients receive from our hospital team.
The UC Davis Health Trauma Recovery Center is a collaboration between the UC Davis Health Violence Intervention and Wraparound Program, and the UC Davis CAARE Diagnostic and Treatment Center. It is co-located with the Wrap program to provide a multidisciplinary team approach to comprehensive services that includes the integration of social care, medical care, and mental health care to serve survivors of crime. The purpose of the UC Davis Trauma Recovery Center is to establish outreach and service provision to marginalized, underserved, immigrant, and at-risk populations in the Sacramento region.
