All persons welcome
We welcome and celebrate diversity at UC Davis Health
All people deserve access to health care. At UC Davis Health, we have a long-standing promise to help anyone who needs health care. We help all people regardless of their background, language spoken, immigration status, or ability to pay.
Under California law, we refer immigration authorities to our hospital attorneys before hospital staff provide information to them.
The job of UC Police is to make sure all people have a safe and secure space to support the University’s patient care, health research, education and public service missions.

UC Davis Health Office for Health Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
UC Davis Health has an Office for Health Equity, Diversity and Inclusion with many programs and resources. The mission of this office is to create a climate of inclusion that is reflected in UC Davis Health's policies and practices, demographics, values/attitudes, and personal interactions.
Health equity means that everyone has a fair and just opportunity to be as healthy as possible. This requires removing obstacles to health such as poverty, discrimination, and their consequences, including powerlessness and lack of access to good jobs with fair pay, quality education and housing, safe environments, and health care.
