Surgical Treatments for Colorectal Conditions

We use the latest minimally invasive colorectal surgical techniques, including robot-assisted surgery. These methods use small incisions for smaller scars, less pain and quicker recovery. We’re committed to using the most advanced techniques to preserve as much of your bowel function as possible. Procedures we perform include:

Resection

We remove only the diseased part of your digestive tract to preserve healthy tissue and maintain normal digestion after surgery.

Sphincter Preservation

We take great care and use advanced and innovative techniques to avoid ostomy bags if at all possible.

Ileal Pouch Anal Anastomosis (IPAA)

We remove the colon and rectum but preserve bowel function by connecting your small intestine to the anus. A small pouch collects stool until you’re ready to pass it.

Rectal Prolapse Repair

We restore your rectum to its normal position using a supportive mesh or stitches to ease discomfort and improve function.

Colostomy

We connect your colon to your abdomen so that stool exits into a small bag outside your body. We'll support you as you adjust and return to your daily life.

Ileostomy

We connect your small intestine to your abdomen, allowing stool to pass into a bag worn outside. You’ll have support as you heal and adapt.

Sacral Stimulation

A small device sends gentle pulses to nerves in your lower back, helping improve bowel control and pelvic floor strength.

Stricturoplasty

This surgery gently widens narrowed areas of your intestine caused by scar tissue or long-term inflammation.
