Stem cell researchUC Davis Health is charged with discovering and sharing knowledge. Our research program, marked by unique collaboration and partnerships, is rapidly expanding.

Research studies under way — including basic science, translational and clinical research — are funded by private foundations, federal and state government, and the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

Below are a few of the research training programs and career development opportunities are available at UC Davis.

Building Interdisciplinary Research Careers in Women's Health

An NIH-sponsored program that provides mentored Ph.D. and M.D. faculty with multidisciplinary training to ensure that they establish independent biomedical research careers in areas relevant to women's health and will create an environment that nurtures non-traditional interdisciplinary collaborations in focused and interactive research areas that are essential to improving the health of women.

CTSC KL2 Program

Accelerates the career development of promising junior faculty, promoting their development as independent clinical multidisciplinary research investigators.

Clinical Research Graduate Group

Offers a Master of Advanced Study in Clinical Research degree. The Clinical Research degree program provides a solid clinical/translational research foundation for junior faculty, clinical and postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, medical students, and other health professionals interested in clinical research.

Mentored Clinical Research Training Program

Provides a solid foundation for clinical/patient-oriented research for junior faculty, clinical and pre-clinical fellows, and post-doctoral scholars.

Paul Calabresi Clinical Oncology K12 Program

Trains junior faculty (basic-translational scientists and clinician scientists) as investigators in team-based patient-oriented cancer research. Upon successful completion of a three-year, salary-supported core curriculum, scholars will receive a UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center Certificate in Clinical Cancer Research.

Stem Cell Training Program

Charged with training pre-doctoral, post-doctoral, and clinical fellows to advance the field of stem cell biology and medicine.
