- Cholangiocarcinoma: cancer arising from the intrahepatic bile duct
- Hepatic Adenoma: non-cancerous solid liver tumor containing abnormally arranged hepatocytes without bile ducts present
- Hepatic Hemangioma: common non-cancerous vascular lesion of the liver
- Focal Nodular Hyperplasia: common non-cancerous solid liver tumor arising from hepatocytes surrounding a fibrous scar
- Mucinous Cystic Neoplasm of the Liver: pre-cancerous cystic lesion of the liver lined with mucin producing biliary type epithelium
- Hepatic Cyst: common non-cancerous cystic lesion of the liver lined with simple epithelium not in communication with the biliary system
- Hepatic Abscess: a collection of pus in the liver resulting from infection
BILE DUCT
- Cholangiocarcinoma: cancer arising from the extrahepatic bile duct
- Choledochal Cyst: a pre-cancerous malformation resulting in dilation of the biliary tree
- Choledocholithiasis: stone(s) present in the bile duct
- Biliary Stricture: narrowing of the bile duct due to either cancer, chronic inflammation, or injury
GALLBLADDER
- Gallbladder Cancer: cancer arising from the gallbladder
- Gallbladder Polyp: abnormal outgrowth of the mucosal wall of the gallbladder
- Cholelithiasis: stones in the gallbladder
- Cholecystitis: inflammation of the gallbladder with inability to empty either due to obstruction or stasis that can progress to gallbladder infection and necrosis
