The UC Davis Health Center for Global Surgery is dedicated to enhancing the equity of access, safety, quality, and capacity for surgical care worldwide. Our mission involves fostering new collaborations, devising innovative solutions to surgical disparities, and supporting surgical providers in resource-limited settings.
Through our center, we advocate for a comprehensive approach to exchanging surgical research, strengthening care capacity, and educating future leaders in global surgery. Surgical trainees have the opportunity to gain valuable experience through lectures, journal clubs, and funded research opportunities. Additionally, residents may choose to pursue a certificate in global health during their training.
