Welcome letter from Vice Chancellor | Volunteer Services | UC Davis Health

Letter From Volunteer Services

Dear Prospective Volunteer,

Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer at UC Davis Health, Northern California's premier healthcare institution.  We are excited about the possibility of welcoming you to our team, where you will play a vital role in supporting our mission to provide world-class patient care.

UC Davis Health is a hub of innovation, bringing together one of the nation's top medical schools - the UC Davis School of Medicine - a 646-bed acute-care teaching hospital, a distinguished physician network with over 1,000 providers in the UC Davis Medical Group, and the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing.  As a volunteer, you will be joining an organization dedicated to discovery, knowledge-sharing, and delivering the highest quality care.

Once you become a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.  Our hospital admits approximately 30,000 patients each year, handles over 900,000 outpatient visits, and sees more than 200 patients daily in the Emergency Department.  Beyond the hospital, the UC Davis Medical Group operates 17 clinics across 10 regional communities, from Elk Grove to Yuba City and Davis to Auburn, serving over one million patients annually.  Your support will help our teams provide exceptional care to those who need us most.

We know that everyone's availability is different, which is why we offer multiple opportunities to volunteer and give back in a way that fits your schedule.  With a variety of meaningful roles available, you can find the opportunity that best aligns with your commitment and availability.

Volunteers at UC Davis Health share a common purpose - a desire to help others and a commitment to being a compassionate and valued part of our healthcare team.  When you join us, you will be surrounded by dedicated professionals who are eager to welcome and guide you as you embark on this rewarding experience.  We truly appreciate your interest in UC Davis Health, and we look forward to getting to know you, supporting your journey as a volunteer, and working together to make a positive difference in our community.

With Gratitude,

Aaron Trammell, M.B.A.
