About 37 million Americans — 1 in every 10 — have been diagnosed with diabetes, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). And as many as 96 million more adults have prediabetes. That means they’re on a path to developing diabetes — and 8 in 10 of them don’t know it.
