Individual Placement Volunteers

Individual placement volunteers are those who have contacted a specific clinic/department and arranged to be placed with them through an agreement with the specific location.

Some inpatient and non-inpatient departments accept individual placements, including the Research Center, Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, and the UC Davis MIND Institute, to name a few. Once you have secured your placement, please submit your online application.

NOTE:  When filling out the application, under "Additional Information," there is a question that asks, "Do you have an individual placement?"  Select "Yes" and complete the information below it.

  • Inpatients Volunteer

    Volunteering in an inpatient area provides a unique chance to have a significant impact. You will be assigned to one of our various patient care units, but not limited to Cardiology, Oncology, Neurosciences, ICU units, or Transplant, to name a few.

    Volunteers can contribute their time and provide invaluable support to patients and staff at UC Davis Health in numerous ways. Other opportunities include roles in radiology, bariatric surgery, guest relations, physical therapy, and many different areas.
