I grew up in Apple's home town of Cupertino and saw how technology can change lives. As a physician, I want to use proven technologies to help my patients spend less time in the hospital and more time with loved ones. My role is to explain your options, customize your treatment, and guide you through your medical journey from our first consultation in clinic to each follow up appointment.
Dr. King is a vascular & interventional radiologist performing truly minimally invasive procedures through a pinhole through the skin. Large surgical incisions are avoided by using high-tech imaging to guide thin instruments beneath the skin. The benefits include less recovery time, fewer complications, and a faster return home.
His clinical interests are in improving wound healing in patients with peripheral arterial disease; improving limb swelling in patients with deep venous disease; and improving chronic pelvic pain in patients with uterine fibroids. He is also passionate about relieving shortness of breath in patients hospitalized with pulmonary embolism.
His personal interests include aviation, traveling, cooking, and eating.
Dr. King's academic interests are in quality improvement and patient safety. He serves on multiple committees at the UC Davis Medical Center, and sits on the Standards Committee for the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR).
He also has a passion for medical education due to amazing mentors during his training. Dr. King is the assistant program director for the diagnostic radiology residency, as well as the associate program director for the interventional radiology residency. He is a faculty advisor to the School of Medicine’s radiology student interest group. Nationally, he sits on the Education Committee for the SIR Early Career Section, on the Student and Resident Committee for the SIR, and on the Committee on Training for the Global Embolization Symposium & Technologies (GEST) conference.
