Philosophy of Care
After graduating from the David Geffen UCLA School of Medicine in 1977, Dr. Norton subsequently completed his diagnostic radiology and fellowship training at UCLA Medical Center. Early in his professional career, he developed a special interest and commitment to the development and advancement of breast imaging services throughout the greater Sacramento area. Before coming to UC Davis, he served as Chief of the Breast Imaging Section for Radiological Associates of Sacramento and later Sutter Health Sacramento for greater than 30 years. Dr. Norton's primary focus continues to be involved in the provision of compassionate, patient centric medical care in an innovative comprehensive breast imaging practice which is exemplified by the UC Davis Breast Radiology division.
Clinical Interests
Dr. Norton is a fellowship trained radiologist specializing in breast imaging including digital mammography, ultrasound, and magnetic resonance imaging.
He practices and offers imaging guided care for all aspects of breast conditions and routinely performs breast biopsies using ultrasound guidance, and MRI localization.
