The UC Davis Bariatric Surgery Program recently received a stellar review on re-accreditation from the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Metabolic Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP). The official review report found that “there is a clear, organization-wide commitment to excellence, with each team member demonstrating a dedicated approach to patient-centered care.” Under the leadership of Mohamed Ali, M.D., medical director for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, the program received high accolades from the MBSAQIP and achieved maximum re-accreditation as a comprehensive center.
