Ho H. Phan, MD FACS graduated from University of California, Los Angeles in 1995 with a degree in Molecular Biology. He received his MD degree from Meharry Medical College in 2000. He completed his General Surgery Training at UC Davis in 2007, which also included a two year research fellowship at the Shriners Hospital. He then completed a one year Surgical Critical Care fellowship at UC Davis, and joined the UC Davis Department of Surgery Faculty in 2008. Currently, Dr. Phan is a Health Sciences Professor in the Department of Surgery. He is active in the field of Trauma, Acute Care Surgery and Surgical Critical Care, and in medical student education. He is currently serving as the Director of Surgery Clerkship.
Dr. Phan’s academic interests include surgical education, particularly medical student education and outcomes in Trauma and Acute Care Surgery.
