Associate Professor
Dr. Cummings' research uses state-of-the-art tools and technologies to understand the molecular basis of metabolic disease. The aim is to identify and develop new therapeutics for these diseases, whose prevalence is growing at an alarming rate. To achieve these goals, her lab is studying surgical, pharmaceutical and nutritional interventions.
