I believe in providing compassionate, individualized care for my patients. Every patient has unique circumstances, symptoms, and conditions that affect their disease process, and their treatment needs to be tailored to best fit their personalized goals. I believe that patients truly understanding their condition and treatments is a crucial component of obtaining the optimal results we both desire. I am happy to take my time to review the critical elements, whether it is anatomy, imaging, or surgical procedures, to help my patients reach this level of understanding.
Dr. Flynn is a colorectal surgeon specializing in conditions that affect the small intestine, colon, rectum, and anus. His practice includes a team-based approach for the care of malignant conditions of these organs, such as colon and rectal cancer, as well as benign conditions, such as inflammatory bowel disease, diverticulitis, and perianal pathology. He has undergone robotic, laparoscopic, endoscopic, and open surgical training to provide patients with the best, least invasive operation to treat their disease.
Dr. Flynn's research focuses on outcomes of patients undergoing surgical care for colorectal diseases. He also has a special interest in the role that our microbiome plays in the development, course, and treatment of diseases that affect the colon and rectum.
