Philosophy of Care
I feel that diagnostic Imaging has become the stethoscope of medicine. Diagnostic radiologists must actively engage in the clinical care of their patients and support a multidisciplinary approach to health and wellness.
Clinical Interests
Dr. Dougherty is a fellowship-trained Diagnostic Radiologist in Abdominal Imaging and Ultrasound. His clinical interests include diagnostic ultrasound and computed tomography (CT) of the abdomen. He has special expertise in obstetric ultrasound, vascular ultrasound, and abdominal imaging in the trauma patient.
Research/Academic Interests
Dr. Dougherty's academic interest focuses on teaching appropriate imaging utilization, quality control, and the importance of diagnostic radiology as a clinical specialty.
