Community volunteers are not affiliated with UC Davis or UC Davis Health (staff, students, etc.) but would like to volunteer at UC Davis Health.

UC Davis student volunteers are currently enrolled at the University of California, Davis, and want to receive extra credit for their schooling.

UC Davis Health Volunteer Services is excited to welcome high school students interested in healthcare and medicine. The Summer VolunTEEN Program offers a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience in hospital and outpatient settings. With placements in areas such as Patient Transportation, Radiology, ENT/Internal Medicine, Neuroscience Specialties, Patient Discharge, and more, students are sure to have a meaningful and rewarding experience.

Volunteer Services has several programs for various services and groups. All programs are designed to assist UC Davis Health in its mission of education, research and public service. These programs add the extra dimension of sensitivity, support, friendliness and service that ease and brighten a patient's hospital stay or clinic visit.

Individual placement volunteers have contacted a specific clinic/department and arranged to be placed with them through an agreement with the particular location.

UC Davis Health employees can give back by joining one of our special programs either in the community or at UC Davis Health.

Want to volunteer at UC Davis Health but can’t commit to a weekly shift?  No problem!  We periodically need volunteers for special events and additional help.  Join us for a flexible and rewarding experience that fits your schedule.

Externships provide a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience and references through working with a department in your field of study.
