MEPN pinning 2018

The second graduating class of Master’s Entry Program in Nursing students at the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at UC Davis celebrated the completion of the 18-month intensive graduate degree program with a traditional pinning ceremony Dec. 14. The event marks the completion of their classroom studies and the transition to the nursing profession. The Class of 2018 , which includes 32 students, now prepares to take the national licensing examination for registered nurses, the NCLEX, in January. During pinning ceremonies, graduates select a mentor or special person to pin them. One graduate, Lindsay Fletcher, received a special surprise when her brother, Levi Fletcher, returned from service overseas to be her special pinner. Other students selected parents, significant others, children or faculty as their pinners.
