Churchill’s primary focus is supporting the dean while also working with faculty and staff to consistency across all areas of executive administration. Prior to joining the School of Nursing, Churchill held various roles within UC Davis and UCLA Health ranging from surgical coordinator to executive assistant. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University and a master’s in healthcare administration from UCLA. |

Kat Lambert Administrative Assistant Email: kglambert@ucdavis.edu Kat Lambert provides administrative support to faculty members at the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing. Their duties include high-level leadership support and providing exceptional customer service to the diverse group of staff, students and visitors at the School of Nursing. Lambert moved to California to Atlanta, Ga., where they provided operational and administrative support to the sales teams and executive leaders at Nolan Transportation Group. They also held a position providing administrative support to the director of development for the Georgia State University Foundation. Most recently, Lambert provided administrative support for leaders in the Ambulatory Care department at UC Davis Health. Lambert attended Georgia State University in Atlanta, Ga., where they completed a dual bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Film. |

Wells has more than 15 years administrative and analytical support experience within UC Davis Health, mostly for clinical operations. Prior to joining the School of Nursing, she worked for four years at Adtalem Global Education, first as associate director of career services for DeVry University and then as dean for campus operations for Chamberlain University, assisting in launching a new Bachelor of Science in Nursing program in California. She also managed multistate career services for online and on-ground students, performing all aspects from student advising, career adviser management and accreditation reporting. Kate earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from Fresno Pacific University and a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration specializing in Student Affairs from Kaplan University, now known as Purdue University Global. |

As the education technology specialist, she is responsible for the administration and implementation of instructional technologies and serves as course coordinator for complex courses. As operations specialist, she builds the master academic calendar for all programs, coordinates program-wide planning meetings and is responsible for the logistics of the annual Academic Symposium. Prior to joining the School of Nursing, Black served as the medical student course coordinator for the UC Davis School of Medicine Department of Pathology and Lab Medicine. Before coming to UC Davis, Black worked for 13 years at BloodSource, first as a blood donor recruiter specializing in platelet and plasma donation recruitment. She then transitioned to the role of medical department coordinator, providing support to the medical department and coordinating the medical education and international programs. Black earned a bachelor’s degree in Family and Consumer Sciences from California State University, Sacramento in 2004. |

In September 2020, Sowa was promoted to clinical affiliations manager overseeing a small team assisting with student clinical placements.Prior to joining the School of Nursing team, he was director of student services, admissions and outreach for California Northstate University’s developing College of Medicine, where he assisted in creating policies and procedures for the medical student standards of the accreditation process, developed relationships with community organizations, established partnerships with area hospital organizations, and recruited physicians to teach in medical student clerkships. Tami Lewis Assistant Director and Business Partner of Human Resources Phone: 916-734-8891, Email: tamlewis@ucdavis.edu Tami Lewis is the Assistant Director of Human Resources at the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing and is responsible for the overall supervision and oversight of the school's human resources programs and processes. She also manages academic personnel and oversees the administrative operations for the School of Nursing, including the development of office policies and procedures. Prior to joining the school, Lewis worked as the employment services manager for California State University at Sacramento (CSUS) managing all staff, student and temporary recruitment and hiring processes. She also worked as a human resources manager for organizations such as Golden 1 Credit Union, Sacramento Coca-Cola Bottling Co., Inc. and Golden Gate Fields managing several functions including payroll, benefits, recruitment, employee labor relations and workers’ compensation. Additionally, she has experience as a project manager for human resources and payroll system conversions. Lewis also worked previously for the UC Davis Department of Neurology providing operational oversight of three Alzheimer’s disease research projects and as the human resources manager for the UC Berkeley Department of Molecular and Cell Biology. |

She is responsible for the overall management of the school's development activities, include developing and executing a major gifts program, and oversees the school’s development programs and events, building the endowment portfolio and leading volunteer boards. Dorough has over 27 years of experience in higher education development. Her most recent development experience was serving as the Regional Director of the Northwest for University Advancement at Rochester Institute of Technology. Dorough has also served a consultant for the University of Guam and spent many years in various development roles at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, Ca. Dorough is a proud alumna of UC Davis with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science. |

Jennifer Mongoven, M.P.H. Director of Research Administration Phone: 916-734-7358, Email: jmmongoven@ucdavis.edu Jennifer Mongoven oversees the operations and activities of the research team and functions at the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing. In this role, she focuses on the school-wide research portfolio. She also is the associate director for the Family Caregiving Institute at the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing and leads the the programmatic, operational and administrative components of the institute. Previously, she helped launch the Center for Advancing Pain Relief at UC Davis as the administrative director. Mongoven’s earlier experience also includes serving as a senior research manager at the Visiting Nurse Service of New York and Qualidigm, a Connecticut-based Medicare quality-improvement organization. In these positions, she managed diverse health promotion and research projects. Mongoven earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Public Relations with a concentration in Political Science from San Jose State University and a Master of Public Health Degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. |

Additionally, she is a doctoral candidate in Public Health Sciences and a fellow with the Healthy Aging in a Digital World Initiative at UC Davis. Martinez is passionate about addressing health disparities, community engagement, capacity building and developing cross-sector partnerships to improve quality of life for older adults and caregivers. She brings a wealth of experience guiding urban and rural counties in developing age- and dementia- friendly initiatives, leading educational initiatives to support caregivers, and supporting and evaluating digital health interventions in partnership with health systems and senior housing providers. She previously taught Gerontology at Oregon State and San Jose State Universities. Her work has been recognized with the 2012 Archstone Foundation Award for Excellence in Program Innovation, the 2018 SCAN Foundation Award for Innovation in Health Care, and the 2021 Mary Louise Remy PEO Endowed Scholar Award. She also plays a crucial role in communicating and collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders. Prior to her role as program manager, she was the evaluation lead for the grants with the primary responsibility for the design and implementation of evaluations, including data collection, evaluation designs, developing instruments, designing and carrying analysis and disseminating results.
