Students unite as colleagues at this afternoon celebration. Master’s-degree P.A. and family nurse practitioner (FNP) classes of 2019 come together to celebrate the master’s-degree P.A. and FNP classes of 2021 as they receive their white coats. The P.A. Class of 2019 also recites the Physician Assistant Oath.

April 11-13: Western Institute of Nursing 52nd Annual Research Conference and University of California nursing reception 
The four UC nursing programs team up to celebrate the university's contributions to nursing research at a special reception at the Western Institute of Nursing annual conference in San Diego. Attendees meet UC nursing faculty, postdoctoral scholars, students and staff during the reception. UC Davis students, faculty and postdoctoral scholars present poster and podium presentations throughout the nursing research conference.

Activities include panel discussions, summaries of doctoral dissertations, podium presentations and research poster displays.

The Interprofessional Book Club begins the discussion of The Book of Joy: Lasting Happiness in a Changing World by Douglas Abrams. Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing Assistant Clinical Professor Jann Murray-García leads the discussion of the book that examines the American white working class. Offered noon to 1 p.m. in Education Building Room 1204. All students, faculty, staff welcome; lunch is served and no RSVP required whether or not you have read the book.
