Courtney Zakhary, D.N.P., C.R.N.A.

Assistant Clinical Professor

Courtney Zakhary is an assistant clinical professor with the Doctor of Nursing Practice — Nurse Anesthesia Degree Program at the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing. Before practicing as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), Zakhary began her career at a large level 1 trauma medical center in Fresno, Calif. Her current practice includes providing anesthesia care to patients in the hospital inpatient and outpatient setting, where she has also taught CRNA students in a clinical setting.

Zakhary received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Northwestern State University in Shreveport, La. She practiced as an RN in the ICU, ER and perioperative setting for four years before beginning anesthesia school in 2016. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice-Nurse Anesthesia from Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University in Baton Rouge, La. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiologists (AANA) and the California Association of Nurse Anesthesiologists (CANA).
