Nicole Davis, M.H.S., P.A.-C.
Health Sciences Assistant Clinical Professor
Nicole Davis is an assistant clinical professor with the Physician Assistant program at the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at UC Davis. She is a clinician educator dedicated to preparing future physician assistants through student-centered teaching, mentorship and a focus on evidence-based, patient-centered care.
Davis’ clinical background is in surgical subspecialties, including spine surgery, hand and upper extremity surgery, and breast surgical oncology. Her career in medicine began in 2011 as a physical therapy aide in the Fairfield, Calif. area, shaping her early appreciation for multidisciplinary, team-based care. She began her PA career in private practice and later transitioned to academic medicine at the University of Colorado, where she developed a passion for precepting, teaching and supporting learners as they grow into confident clinicians.
Prior to joining UC Davis, Nicole served as a health sciences assistant clinical professor at the Atkinson Physician Assistant Education Program at University of California, San Diego. As a member of the founding faculty, she helped welcome the program’s first cohort and contributed to building the program from the ground up. During her time at UC San Diego, she served as Instructor of Record for Clinical Medicine and Pharmacology, participated on multiple program committees and held the role of Director of Admissions and Recruitment.
Nicole earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of California, Davis, making her return to UC Davis a meaningful homecoming. She is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Associates and the Physician Assistant Education Association.
