Philosophy of Care

I believe comprehensive vascular care for patients with arterial and venous disease includes management of risk factors as well as disease treatment. I incorporate new research technologies with traditional vascular care, and believe that patients should take an active role in treatment planning.

I also welcomes open communication with families in support of a common mission of optimal patient care.

Clinical Interests

Dr. Humphries specializes in open vascular and advanced endovascular treatment for arterial and venous disease. Her primary clinic interest is in endovascular treatment of complex peripheral artery disease, telemedicine, and thoracic outlet syndrome.

Her NIH funded research focuses on prevention of lower extremity amputations for patients in rural clinics with peripheral artery disease and the use of telemedicine to bring multidisciplinary wound care to rural communities.

Research/Academic Interests

Dr. Humphries' research focuses on outcomes and disparities in care for patients with critical limb ischemia.

Her goal is to identify new treatment strategies to prevent limb loss in this population with advanced arterial disease of the lower extremity.
