June 3 — Inaugural DNP-FNP graduate presents at national nursing association
Bobbie Crider, a graduate of the Doctor of Nursing Practice — Family Nurse Practitioner program at the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at UC Davis, presented at the Annual Course of the Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA). Bobbie’s presentation, “The Twilight Zone: Building Competence and Confidence with Nurse Sedation in a World of MAC,” explored the history and evolution of moderate sedation in endoscopic procedures. She discussed how high-fidelity patient simulation can enhance learning and competency in moderate sedation through literature insights and a case study of a simulation education session. Held annually, the course offers a comprehensive program that includes expert-led sessions, hands-on workshops, and networking opportunities SGNA advances gastroenterology and endoscopy nursing through education, research, advocacy and collaboration while supporting professional growth in a shared, supportive community.
