Assistant Clinical Professor

Eileen PartridgeEileen Partridge is an assistant clinical professor for the Master of Science — Family Nurse Practitioner and Master of Health Services — Physician Assistant Studies degree programs at the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at UC Davis. In a unique clinician educator role, Eileen Partridge divides her time between providing patient care in the Healthy Aging Clinic at UC Davis Health and teaching.

Partridge began her nursing career in the in-patient psychiatric setting, working primarily with geriatric patients. This experience nurtured a love of the geriatric specialty and a desire to improve care of older adults in long-term care.

She earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree with a focus on adult-gerontology primary care at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Nursing. During her DNP studies in Wisconsin, Partridge worked as an assistant for the Healthy Aging in Rural Towns Project providing technical and administrative support to three coalitions working to improve community supports for rural aging-in-place. Most recently, Eileen worked as a research nurse practitioner for the Wisconsin Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, interacting directly with research participants to collect data and provide education on cognitive health.

As a provider, Partridge strives to understand patients’ priorities to best support them in setting goals and making health care decisions. Her interests include caregiving in rural areas, behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia, and education and development for nursing staff in long-term care settings. A native Spanish speaker, she is pleased to provide patient care in Spanish when needed. Partridge earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics from the University of Oklahoma before deciding to become a nurse. She then earned an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing Degree from Collin College. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree with Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
