Rebecca “Becky” Boulger is a clinical instructor intern with the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at UC Davis. Boulger is a Registered Nurse and Board Certified in Nurse Coaching with over 16 years of nursing experience. She excelled for many years in the surgical arena providing excellent care in diverse areas such as plastic and reconstructive surgery as well as ophthalmology. She also has experience in Nurse Case Management caring for injured workers.

Boulger earned her Associate Degree in Nursing at American River College in Sacramento, Calif. and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Aspen University. She obtained a nurse coaching certification with the Nurse Coach Collective, focusing on the art and science of wellness coaching. Boulger is passionate about sharing her skills and inspiring those working and entering the nursing profession.


Tuongvi Diep, B.S.N., R.N.Tuongvi Diep, B.S.N., R.N.

Tuongvi “Vi” Diep is a clinical instructor intern with the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at UC Davis. Diep is a registered nurse with over seven years of experience across different specialties. The majority of her career has been in emergency medicine and critical care transport. She thrives in high-intensity environments where teamwork and rapid decision making are essential. She previously served as a nurse preceptor and mentor for recent nurse graduates and new hires.

Diep earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from California State University, Sacramento, and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Roseman University of Health Sciences in Henderson, Nev. She currently works as an Interventional Radiology nurse.


Jeanette Ferrer-Valladares, M.S.N., R.N.C.-O.B., P.H.N., C.-E.F.M., I.B.C.L.C.Jeanette Ferrer-Valladares, M.S.N., R.N.C.-O.B., P.H.N., C.-E.F.M., I.B.C.L.C.

Jeanette Ferrer-Valladares is a clinical instructor intern with the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at UC Daivs. Ferrer-Valladares is a registered clinical nurse with more than two decades of experience in labor and delivery, maternal-child health and lactation. As a Certified Caritas Coach® and HeartMath® Trainer, she is passionate about helping nurses cultivate resilience, emotional regulation, and compassionate presence at the bedside.

Ferrer-Valladares earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from San Francisco State University and her Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on Clinical Leadership Education from Samuel Merritt University. She was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society of Nursing, in recognition of her academic and professional excellence.


Mey Mey Heng, B.S.N., R.N.Mey Mey Heng, B.S.N., R.N., P.H.N.

Mey Mey Heng is a clinical instructor intern with the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at UC Davis. Heng graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She has worked in a variety of clinical settings including inpatient, outpatient and public health. Heng has leadership, teaching, mentorship and community service experience in a wide range of specialty areas.

Heng is passionate about medicine and continuing to make a difference in people's lives. Her goal is to help individuals live a happy, healthy life and to provide the best holistic patient centered care as possible. As an educator, Heng strives to create profound impact, inspire resilience, ignite hope, and provide every student with the tools, opportunities and confidence to create change and build a better future for themselves and their communities.


Mary Kate McIntyre, B.S.N., R.N.Mary Kate McIntyre, B.S.N., R.N.

Mary Kate McIntyre is a clinical instructor intern with the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at UC Davis. McIntyre is a registered nurse with five years of clinical experience in a wide variety of travel nursing contracts, including medical-surgical oncology, infusion, case management and school nursing. She currently serves as an infusion nurse at the Enloe Health Cancer Center in Chico, Calif.

Passionate about education and mentorship, McIntyre has precepted nursing students and new graduate nurses in various roles. She emphasizes the importance of evidence-based, holistic care, and strives to empower the next generation of nurses to lead with both knowledge and compassion. McIntyre earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Seattle Pacific University in Seattle, Wash.


Philip Mellijor, B.S.N., R.N.Philip Mellijor, B.S.N., R.N.

Philip Mellijor is a clinical instructor intern with the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at UC Davis. Mellijor is a registered nurse with over 20 years of clinical experience. His clinical and educational interests include promoting evidence-based care to patients. Mellijor has extensive leadership and mentoring knowledge, having served as assistant director of nursing at a skilled nursing facility.

Mellijor earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Nightingale College, Suma Cum Laude. In his current role as an emergency care nurse, he has developed proficiency in providing excellent care utilizing evidence-based practices and has developed a great sense of prioritizing care based on the urgency of patient’s medical needs. He currently works as an ER nurse at Kaiser Medical Center in Roseville, Calif.
