Giving to the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing

At the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at UC Davis, we endeavor to dream big through our people, our programs and our passion for nursing. We embrace the evolution of expanding knowledge and new technologies and leverage them to create programs and curricula that both transform the classroom experience and health care as a whole.

Join us as we work together with community members, faculty, students and alumni to understand what people want to lead healthy lives, identify tools to enable them to manage their well-being and design systems that empower them to accomplish individualized health goals.

Donate to October 2024 Crowdfunding

We’re excited to announce our October crowdfunding campaign is focused on two impactful initiatives: the Nurse-Led Mobile Clinic and the Perinatal Origins of Disparities (POD) Center.

Nurse-Led Mobile Clinic
Led by Deb Bakerjian, associate dean for practice and clinical professor, this initiative provides high-quality, evidence-based healthcare to vulnerable populations, including those experiencing homelessness, refugees, and unaccompanied minors in underserved areas. Not only does it deliver essential services, but it also creates invaluable clinical learning opportunities for nursing students.

Perinatal Origins of Disparities (POD) Center
Directed by Leigh Ann Simmons, professor, the POD Center investigates how prenatal and early life factors influence long-term health, particularly in disadvantaged communities. By combining behavioral science with technology, we aim to create personalized interventions that promote health equity and drive meaningful policy changes.

Our goal is to raise $5,000 by the end of October to support these vital efforts. Your gift will directly impact the lives of vulnerable populations and help shape a healthier future for babies and communities. Your support also helps educate our students and advance equitable health care. Please consider supporting our campaign, every gift makes a difference!

Meeting the Needs of Diverse Caregivers in California - Development of an Equity Plan - Watch the Webinar Recording

Leaders at the Family Caregiving Institute at the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at UC Davis seek solutions for those providing care and bridge evidence from practice to policy. This includes sharing information about the needs and contributions of family caregivers with health care providers, health systems and policy makers. Through this expertise, agencies can focus on designing and implementing programs that care for their constituencies, in partnership with institute researchers to guide and evaluate programs.
